Description
The Invisible Shutter
Knowing that bars and shutters can easily be circumvented by clever criminals, Hammerglass offers "The Invisible Shutter" - Hammerglass ADD-ON. As well as blocking the view of the shop, the grille has in many cases given the shopkeeper a false sense of security as it can be easily removed with a chain attached to the vehicle hitch. Hammerglass ADD-ON is the burglar protection that stays in place permanently.
Recommended alternative to bars and shutters
Hammerglass ADD-ON consists of a Hammerglass pane in a steel profile, which can be mounted both internally and externally on existing fixed or opening windows and doors. The system offers effective protection against burglars. The ADD-ON profile made of cold-rolled steel protects and strengthens existing wooden frames and makes it much more difficult to break in. In the event of a break-in attempt, the material offers no leverage as the steel profile only yields at the point of entry, unlike the more rigid aluminium profiles which can be bent if a tool is pushed underneath the profile. The system also offers energy savings and U-value improvements, as well as a noise reduction of 30 dBRw. ADD-ON is certified for protection up to security class P8B and is recommended by insurance companies as an alternative to burglar grilles and roller shutters.

Installation and warranty
Hammerglass ADD-ON is only installed by recommended installers to ensure the highest quality. The glazing material is 6mm or 8mm hammered glass (10mm or 12mm hammered glass for larger windows). Hammerglass is glued along the edge and then screwed through the steel profile to ensure an optimal result and a secure hold. The existing architecture is not further altered by the installation. All Hammerglass discs are laser marked with a logo and production number to ensure traceability for internal quality assurance and security in case of warranty issues.
