Description
Safety glass for travel centres - Hammerglass
Permanently unbreakable glazing solutions for travel centres, bus terminals and train platforms. The light weight and hard surface of Hammerglass make it an excellent choice for roofs, walls, lifts, etc. any other optical quality change. Hammerglass has an estimated life span of over 40 years.
Vandal resistant flexible glass solutions
Hammerglass offers unbreakable glazing solutions for roofs, walls, platforms, lifts and balustrades. Hammerglass' transparent or coloured sheets, up to 6 metres long and 4 to 20 mm thick, offer clients and architects great freedom in project design and construction. If larger sections are to be glazed, the individual panels can be joined together.
< br >Fixing can be done with clamping profiles, Hammerglass fixing points or project-specific fixing solutions. A gap between the wall and the glass can also be created with fixed points.
Another advantage is that the glazing material can only be cut to size after the basic construction has been assembled, with each glazing cut-out and fastener being individually cut with a 3D laser and then transferred to a CAD drawing for production.
Wall sections and roof constructions
Crystalline wall sections and roof constructions with hammered glass panes that are mounted on existing constructions or project-specific profiles, e.g. an L-profile with clamping profiles in the glass joints for watertightness. Each glazing section is individually measured and the panes are then cut to size.

Glass for stairwells and lifts
Entire external lift towers with heights of up to 10 metres or more or just a ramp? We have unbreakable glass solutions for staircases, escalators and lift connections - whether in existing installations or in completely new steel constructions. The assembly of handrails directly into Hammerglass works very well.
After the steel construction has been assembled, measurements are taken to optimally fit the Hammerglass panels. The glazings are butt-jointed using the Hammerglass Fixpoint system to ensure optimum strength.
Glass walkways and shelters
Entire construction projects are often carried out while the railway is in operation. This means that it must be possible to erect and then lift most of the structures directly next to the track area. Our installers insert the screens while the steel skeleton is still on the ground and then lift the whole structure. This type of lifting is virtually impossible with ordinary glass, as the movements in the construction would cause the glass to break.
All glazing was measured and manufactured individually. Even if the steel structure does not correspond 100% to the design, the assembly of the panes will be done without any problems.
- Glazing on the ground and lifted into place
- Individually measured and manufactured screens
Weather protection intact and clean
Hammerglass modular and unbreakable bus shelters, replacing glass in existing bus shelters or glazing into a completely new structure. Hammerglass panels are flexible and can be shaped to fit curved profiles.
Safe bicycle subways and tunnels
Illuminated pedestrian subways not only provide a safer and more secure environment, they are also visually appealing. Opal, colour impregnated or printed Hammerglass with LED lighting creates an attractive point of light in the dark at night.
For graffiti, marks or other dirt, most known cleaning agents and chemicals can be used without damaging the Hammerglass windows.
