Description
unbreakable glass for public transport shelters - Hammerglass
Every year, bus companies have to spend huge amounts of money to repair broken bus shelters - completely unnecessarily. Taxpayers' money that could be used for innovation, safety and the common good. Hammerglass has developed a new generation of bus shelters with an elegant design that can withstand violent impacts. And we intend to hit hard! This is how we win the battle against the saboteurs. Expensive you say? Not at all, we say. Replacing ordinary tempered glass with Hammerglass will pay for itself in ONE exchange.
We are proud to present the Hammerglass bus shelter!
The Hammerglass bus shelter stands solidly and blends in with its surroundings, keeping the passenger in sight and out of the wind and rain - and anyone who tries to break the glass will soon give up. Because it simply can't be done.
The waiting room has a modular structure and can be adjusted in size as required - it can even be as long as you like. The bus shelter is supplied as a kit and can also be supplied with its own concrete base. The main difference is that a Hammerglass bus shelter has unbreakable windows made of Hammerglass or UWSB (Unbreakable Weather Shelter Basic). Both alternatives are 300 times stronger than glass and there are no repair costs in case of glass breakage and replacement. The entire canopy is designed for long life and low maintenance costs.
Assembly and installation
- Modular system - unlimited length
- Hammerglass is 300 times stronger than glass - no glass breakage
- Half the weight of the glass - no unnecessarily heavy lifting
- The glass cannot be pushed out - Hammerglass stays where it is!
- Hammerglass does not burn - Unlike acrylic/Plexiglas, the panels are self-extinguishing
- Available with or without concrete base
< li>Hammerglass' unique nano-treated surface is very easy to clean - if there is graffiti, marks or other dirt, most known cleaning agents can be used to remove it
How much does it cost?
Hammerglass is slightly more expensive than ordinary glass, but in return cannot be replaced by broken glass or graffiti. Considered over the life cycle of the shelter, Hammerglass is an extremely cost-effective investment. If you are looking for an unbreakable alternative, choose UWSB (Unbreakable Weather Shelter Basic) panels, which are cheaper but do not have the special coating of Hammerglass.
In case of scratches
< p>Is Hammerglass prone to scratching? Both ordinary glass and Hammerglass can be scratched, but despite its hard coating, Hammerglass is a softer base material than glass. To further reduce the effects of scratches, we have designed the enclosure as a multi-segment system, which means you only have to replace smaller pieces of panel rather than the whole sidewall. We also offer cross-patterned panels that effectively hide scratches.- Modular system - Replace only the damaged panel
- Pre-printed pattern hides scratches
Replacement signs for damaged bus shelters
It is entirely possible to retain existing bus shelters and have Hammerglass replacement panels installed by us. Hammerglass sheets are flexible and can be shaped to fit curved profiles, for example in roof structures.
Replacing broken glass is the most costly. By using Hammerglass in problematic areas, broken glass is a thing of the past and maintenance costs are minimised. This is the first step towards a healthier economy and a sustainable solution for the common good. And that is exactly the goal.
"We save more than 10,000 euros per month".
In a pilot project in Stockholm, some 20 bus shelters were fitted with unbreakable Hammerglas.
"We selected the shelters that had the most vandalism and where the glass had to be replaced every fortnight. Since installing Hammerglass, we have not had to replace a single pane! We suppose so. We can say that we have saved more than 10,000 euros per month at these 20 bus stops alone - truly unimaginable figures.
Nobina will now continue to replace glass with Hammerglass panels in its bus shelters:
"It is much more pleasant for employees to wipe off graffiti than to walk around in broken glass with heavy plates. Apart from the working environment and finances, a third factor is at least as important, namely that our customers arrive in a clean and tidy hall. We can wait for the bus. We are definitely very satisfied and would like to invite other transport companies to see us for themselves. (Andreas Mehlqvist, Nobina)
Bring Hammerglass into your discussions!
Our designers can help you with drawings and suggestions for functional solutions. We are happy to set up demonstration panels at a greatly reduced price to test Hammerglass wherever necessary.
Decorate with a variety of prints and colours
Sometimes standard glass is not enough, you just want "that something extra". With HammerART, hammered glass can be provided with specially developed prints, which offer unlimited possibilities for individual design.
We particularly recommend screen printing for bus shelters. For example, hammered glass plates can be provided with a municipal coat of arms or adjusted motifs in different colours. Digital printing of photos and artistic motifs is also possible, but places somewhat higher demands on the fixing and encapsulation of the print.
For large plate runs, colour impregnated hammered glass can be produced.< /p>
